DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

This Auction is for one box with three pairs of genuine vintage full fashioned seamed nylon stockings packaged in plastic as pictured. One of the three pairs was removed from it's original plastic to take pictures and repackaged as found. The description on the box from NYLON HOSIERY states 420 which may suggest 420 needle. The size is 10 1/2 opera. The color is SUNNIBROWN. No guage or denier is listed on the box or stockings and therefore is unknown. I have no idea what the absolute manufactuer's stats are!  Be this as it may, these vintage full fashioned stockings are not sheer and leave their true evaluation to you the viewer with many high resolution pictures posted so please give the listing some time to load!

Each stocking was flat knit with Dupont Nylon in the shape of a leg, these are not today's inferior stretch nylon product!  The seam on the rear of each leg is a result of a process that actually finishes the stocking and gives the stocking its classic shape and fit. Every stocking is seamed by a machinist.

The "loop" at the top backside of the stocking is also a result of the finishing process and identifies a true Full-Fashioned Nylon.” Each stocking is knit in the shape of a leg, these are not  today's inferior stretch nylon product! The seam is a result of a process that actually finishes the stocking and gives the stocking its classic shape and fit. To finish seaming the stocking top, called ‘welt' is turned 360 degrees which causes the distinctive ‘finishing loop' at the top of the seam. After this they are dyed to the correct colour. Next comes ‘boarding' which is the most important process. Every single leg is pulled over a flat leg-shaped piece of metal and steamed to remove creases. They are then checked for quality and many discarded to ensure you receive only the highest standard product!
